oUR kIDS mINISTRY

Our kids ministry is for infants - 6th grade. We provide an environment for your child with volunteers who are passionate about what they do and trained to care for your kids as they teach about the love of Christ. We have Connection Groups for all ages on Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM and our AWANA program for kids age 3 thorugh 6th grade is on Sunday nights during the school year.

We believe kids of all ages must come to learn that Jesus Christ is the ROCK on which they can build their life. He is the ROCK that will guide their decisions. He is the ROCK that will impact every single relationship they will ever have. He is the ROCK of truth and should they determine in their ways to acknowledge His truth, He will direct their paths for a life time.

OUR VISION

We want to create an atmosphere that attracts children and provides meaningful interactions with the Bible as they grow in their knowledge of who God is and who they can be in Christ.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is make disciples of children, leading them to faith in Christ, then teaching them to live lives of worship, live life in Christian community, and live life on mission.

Below are listed several special activities and/or programs associated with our KIDS ROCK ministry.

AWANA

AWANA is a program for children from 3 years old to 6th grade that incorporates Bible teaching and Scripture memorization with tons of fun. The word "AWANA" is an acronym that stands for "Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed" taken from 2 Timothy 2:15

Our AWANA Clubs meet weekly from 5 to 6:30 PM on Sundays during the school year. Our breaks also coincide with the school calendar. Kids are divided into age groups: Cubbies (3 & 4 year olds); Sparks (K - 2nd Grade); and Truth & Training (T & T) (3rd - 6th Grade). Each night begins with an opening ceremony in our Fellowship Hall, then the kids are dismissed according to the club they are in.

During club time, kids go through a workbook that leads them to memorize Scripture at an age appropriate level. Each club also has a large group time where they are taught a Bible lesson and enjoy game time. The evening ends with each kid who has completed a level in their book being recognized and a concluding prayer.
