What to Expect When Visiting Our Church

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us before you visit with us.

What happens on Sunday mornings?

Traditional Celebration Service meets at 9:00 a.m. and features a blend of hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs, accompanied by piano and organ, and led by our worship and choral director, Wayne Anderson.

Bible Fellowships meet at 10:00 a.m. and are provided for Adults, College Students, Youth, Children, and Preschoolers.

Contemporary Celebration Service is at 11:00 a.m. and features contemporary praise and worship and other creative elements as part of the worship experience. Since this service is relatively new, we presently make use of music videos as our singing is led by a vocal worship team. We are in the process of adding live instruments as God leads talented people to assist us with this service.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than on what you're wearing. Most folks dress in their "Sunday best" for the 9 a.m. service, while the 11:00 a.m. crowd often dresses in jeans and tee shirts. However, you can also find several jeans being worn at 9:00 a.m. We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

Where should I park?

Our church has parking located at the corner of C and 2nd streets and behind our main building around our Fellowship Hall building. We have permission to use the Wells Fargo bank parking lot, too. While the main entrance into our building is on C street, several people enter through the door from the alley, the door from 1st street, or the door located off the parking lot on the corner of C and 2nd streets.

Where do my children go?

Bible Fellowships are provided for children of all ages at 10:00 a.m. Children in kindergarten and up attend worship with their parents. Activity pages are provided for parents to use with little ones during worship if necessary.Quality childcare is provided for babies through preschool during both worship hours. But we do not just do baby sitting! Curriculum is used for preschoolers and they are involved in learning activities at both hours.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider FBC your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving to the support of God's work through our church. You can give by check or cash during the service. Offering envelopes are provided in the pews for your convienence. You can also make contributions online.
